This Black Body

For black folks, with black folks, by black folks. More than a class, more than a conversation. This Black Body shifts the conversation of mental health in the Black community from mindful awareness into meaningful action by exploring it in the physical body.

Our price of $9.50 is in honor of Bebe Moore Campbell, a pioneer in the advocacy of mental health in the black community. Born in 1950, her work is responsible for Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in July as we know it today.

If you find yourself sitting more hours than standing, curious about yoga but unsure where to start, or simply looking to add a low-impact style to your practice - this community chair yoga class is for you.

No matter where you are on your journey, this community chair yoga class provides a foundation to start. Students can expect to experience the practice of yoga through an accessible lens for every body.
